Our accelerated courses are six weeks long, so there are many opportunities throughout the year to start your program of choice.
A complete application includes sections you may not be able to finish in a day, such as letters of recommendation and transcripts.
To ensure you start when you want to, it is best to start and submit your application as soon as possible.

Transfer Students
You may transfer up to 30 credits toward an associate degree and 90 credits** for a bachelor’s degree.
You can earn credits through:
- Advanced Placement (AP)
- American Council on Education (ACE)
- Prior Learning Assessments (PLA) for life experiences
- The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
- The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB)
- Sophia Learning
- StraighterLine
- Formal coursework and occupations offered by all branches of the military via a service member’s Joint Services Transcript (JST)
We reserve the right to deny coursework for transfer if considerable changes have occurred in the area of study since the course was originally taken.

International Students
If you are an international student, you’ll need to meet the following criteria to apply:
- Completed application
- Translated, evaluated, and official copies of all international transcripts by WES, CED, or similar organization
- Official TOEFL internet-based test, IELTS, or Duolingo score report showing proof of English proficiency (for non-native English speakers)
- Minimum Scores Needed:
- 71 for the TOEFL iBT
- 5.5 for IETLS
- 44 for Duolingo
- Minimum Scores Needed:
- Two academic letters of recommendation
- 1-2 page typed essay or graded paper in English
Please note: Bay Path University and The American Women’s College do not provide student visas for these degrees as they are 100% online.
Undergraduate Enrollment in Graduate Courses
An undergraduate student may request to enroll in up to 10 credits of graduate coursework (courses at or above the 500-level) by completing the Undergraduate Enrollment in Graduate Courses Form. To be eligible for graduate course registration, students must submit this form during the appropriate self-registration period, and must meet the following criteria at the time of their request:
- Students must have at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA
- Students must have earned a minimum of 60 credits
Note: Students enrolled in an undergraduate program or certificate that requires graduate coursework may take more than 10 credits of graduate coursework if it is specifically required for their program. However, undergraduate students intending to continue into a graduate degree program at Bay Path University should reference the “Credits transferring from another Bay Path University degree program” policy within the Transfer Policy and Residency Requirement section of the Graduate catalog, as certain programs may have specific minimum grade requirements, and students may only transfer in up to one-third of the credits required for their graduate degree.

We do accept transfer credits, which can help reduce your total tuition as well as time spent earning the degree. We accept up to 30 transfer credits to associate degree programs and up to 90 for bachelor’s degree programs. Visit our Admissions Hub page to review all of the types of transfer credits we accept. The time it takes to complete your application file will vary based on obtaining letters of recommendation, transcripts, etc. Once your application file is complete, it typically takes 72 business hours to review and provide an answer as to whether you’ve been accepted to the program. The first step in the application process is to fill out the online application.
While you do not need to have all documents ready when you start your application, your application file (GPA/transcripts, letters of recommendation, goal statements, etc.) must be complete when you submit your application to the program. **The BS in Nursing allows of a maximum of 84 transfer credits. All other online bachelor’s programs allow a maximum transfer of 90 credits.
